2022 Kids Summer Meals Program

Today, 1 in 6 kids is at risk of hunger in America. But you can help. Your gift today can connect vulnerable kids in your communities with the nutritious food they need to grow and thrive.

Every year 4MyCiTy proudly works with community partners on our Summer Kids Meal service program, or summer lunch programs. These are free meal sites that help kids and teens up to 18 years of age when school is out in June, July, and August. The free meals are offered at safe, supervised places in our community like churches, schools, and community centers.

Kids and teens can just show up during the scheduled distribution hours and receive free food supplies. Some of our summer programs provide breakfast and lunch. There may also be summer activities or learning programs available during distribution times. No paperwork or proof of income is required to receive free food supplies. For families who primarily rely on school meals to feed their children, these months can present some difficulties. Aside from that, most kids are now spending more time at home, which may increase normal day-to-day expenses. With the 4MyCiTy Summer Meal Program, we focus on the distribution of healthy food supplies along with daily snack kits that aid families over the course of these difficult summer months. In the last 2 years, we have successfully distributed over 5 million pounds of food to families with children through this specific program. This resulted in an estimated 4.2 million meals served to these families that would typically be facing food insecurity.

The numbers show what we are capable of, but with your help, we could achieve so much more! Your donations will go a long way in helping us achieve our 2022 Summer Meal Program goals, effectively providing for families in need.
